ND Soybean Council Structure
The North Dakota Soybean Council indentified a need to redistrict as part of a strategic planning process. Because ND commodity groups operate under legislated authority structural changes require legislative approval. The Council’s proposed restructure is rooted in a need to address the Soybean Industry in ND in 2011 and beyond vs. the status quo of its beginnings in the early 1990’s. The ensuing twenty years have yielded, and future planning requires, many changes in the geographical area and quantity of soybean grown across ND, as well as Research and Marketing initiatives.
ND Transportation Infrastructure
We have an immediate need to address infrastructure – Road & Bridge - issues all across ND’s Ag community. Farm to Market logistics are a critical element to ND’s economic development and growth. We Advocate for:
- Significantly increasing ND road & bridge infrastructure funding over the next three biennium’s. We are seeking a sustainable funding level for infrastructure.
- Basic Ingredient for all ND Commerce is Transportation
- NDSGA is a Key member of Transportation Coalition
